Bloodmobile making summer stop at CCS this Tuesday

The American Red Cross school-sponsored blood drive is scheduled for Tuesday at the Chase County Schools’ auxiliary gym. from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
The goal is 60 units, said Mikael Kuhlmann, senior at CCS and coordinator for the summer blood drive.
The American Red Cross depends on the generosity of volunteers to supply about 40 percent of the nation’s blood.
Potential donors can download a free Red Cross Blood Donor app or call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
Appointments can also be made by contacting Kuhlmann at 308-883-1216 or online at www.redcrossblood.org.
    Walk-ins are always welcome.
A blood donor card, driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.
It is encouraged to create an online account and complete a RapidPass which entails the individual’s health history.
The RapidPass must be updated each time preceding a blood donation so medical information is always up to date at the time of donation.
Print off the RapidPass or save it to a phone, and bringing it the day of donation. This will save donors about 15 minutes at check-in.
The next scheduled blood drive at CCS will be Sept. 19.
