Benefit supper planned for Shawn Ritchie family Friday

    The Imperial community will rally once again to help one of their own with a benefit supper for the Shawn Ritchie family Friday night.
    Ritchie, 43, died Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Chase Community Hospital.
    Ritchie suffered extensive injuries from a rollover accident just outside of Imperial on Saturday, Nov. 11.
    He was transferred to a Denver hospital and spent time in intensive care for treatment of those injuries.
    He had been released and was at his home in Imperial at the time of his sudden death.
    Ritchie leaves behind his wife, Samantha Hilker and their two young children, Diesel Hilker and Harley Ritchie.
    He also has two older sons, Gavin Byrd and Colby Ritchie.
Benefit details
    Individuals have organized a benefit spaghetti supper at the Eagle Club this Friday, beginning at 6 p.m.
    Proceeds from the supper will go to Hilker and her family. She is the manager at the Kwik Stop in Imperial.
