Bella Salon is just one of the salons/barber shops in town with a closed sign in the door, dark windows and no cars parked in front during the mandated closing directive.

Bad hair days could become trend for awhile

As of midnight April 9, the latest business closings, announced by Governor Ricketts, include hair salons and barber shops.
All of the hair salons/barber shops in Imperial closed their doors to public traffic when the new state mandate was issued to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in communities.
Ricketts closed the latest string of businesses through April 30.
There are six businesses in Imperial that fall under this directive, but all six businesses also offer retail products that can still be purchased by contacting each salon owner or staff.
Lorilee Sis, owner of The Barber’s Inn, said, “I was maintaining regular hours until the order came down to close our doors. Even before closing, I took extra precautions and increased my routine sanitizing to also include doors, seating, handles, etc.”
Sis has products available for purchase by contacting her cell at 308-882-8021 or visit The Barbers Inn Facebook site and leave a message.
She is offering in-store credit where clients can pre-pay for their services in the future or purchase gift certificates, an up and coming trend becoming popular at salons everywhere, she said.
“I want to say thank you to my valued customers. I miss you, and I can’t wait to see you all again soon,” Sis said.
Hair Effects owner, Deb Harmon will be scheduling and re-scheduling appointments as necessary as dictated by the mandates.
“I will miss my customers, and I hope everyone is staying well,” she said.
Harmon is offering curbside service to customers wishing to purchase retail products from the salon.
“Products can be delivered, if needed,” she added.
