Another Capital Court trailer on way out; court opinion on hospital bill discussed

    A vote at Monday’s city council meeting will remove another uninhabited trailer from Imperial Capital Court.
    A unanimous vote approved a $3,500 quote from DuPeire Trucking, LLC of Ogallala to remove the trailer from Lot 16 for disposal and transport to the J Bar J Landfill in Keith County.
    After the trailer on that lot went through the nuisance abatement process, the city obtained its title, according to city officials.
    Jo Leyland, City Clerk/Administrator, said this 1973 mobile home will be the fourth mobile home removed from the trailer court, with the abatement costs assessed to the owner.
    The owner of the court has been making some payments toward the $22,000 nuisance abatement costs owed the city.  Those charges have accumulated from removal of the mobile homes and other nuisance cleanup work, Leyland said.
