Andrew Wiest to travel for a summer mission

    Former CCS Alumn, Andrew Wiest now attends the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is a member of the Campus Crusades for Christ, (CRU).
    CRU is a student-led campus ministry organization that believes in students discipling students. As a member of CRU, Wiest has been given the opportunity to travel to Montpellier, France, for the summer to build relationships and evangelize on campuses.
    Wiest will travel with a team of 12, including himself, four adult CRU staff leaders, and eight students. Two students from UNL and six from other Universities.
    The goal during the mission will be to build relationships with college students over the course of the time there, to slowly and carefully teach them the Gospel and have discussions, with the end goal that they believe and understand the Gospel and come to know Christ.
    Students in the area come from all over the world, and most do not know Christ. The goal is to help these students come to know Christ through the relationships they build with them during the time in France.
    Andrew is trying to raise $6,500 from fundraising and donations. This cost would include travel, housing, and food expenses for the month long visit to France. The fundraising goal does not include other expenses associated with preparing for the mission.
    The funding deadlines are March 20, $2000; April 7, $3500; May 4, $5000; and May 24, $6500.

    Andrew’s trip is scheduled for Monday, May 25 until Thursday, June 25, 2026.
