Weather wrecking meet schedules

Chase County and  Wauneta-Palisade athletes saw meets cancelled and postponed last week due to weather.
After seven inches of snow in Bridgeport, the CCS golfers’ meet was moved from April 15 to Friday.
Chase County’s home golf invite was moved from April 17 to April 26.
WP’s trip to the Medicine Valley Invite at Cambridge was postponed from April 16 until April 26.
Chase County tracksters had planned on being at Sutherland last Saturday, but saw that meet cancelled, too.

Both schools will busy over the next weeks.
Chase County bumped its annual track meet from Tuesday to Wednesday this week due to the cold temperatures. The team will travel to Hershey Saturday. CCS JV track athletes will be at the McCook JV meet on Monday.
The SPVA Conference track meet is set for April 30 at Perkins County.
WP was at the Hitchcock County Invite Wednesday this week. After the team makes up the MV Invite, they will prepare for the RPAC meet April 30 in Paxton.
CCS golfers were scheduled at Perkins County Tuesday and will also have their conference meet April 30 at Bridgeport.
Monday’s junior high track meet at Perkins County was also cancelled.
