NSAA board approves four-day state volleyball tournament, football heads back to Lincoln

Members of the NSAA board of directors unanimously approved a four-day state volleyball tournament at their June 17 meeting.
Last fall’s tournament was a four-day event due to COVID-19.
The first three days of the 2021 tournament will be played at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The championship matches will be at the Devaney Center.
The board also acted on the upcoming football state championships. Last year’s state championship games were placed at host sites. Championship games will return to Memorial Stadium in Lincoln this fall after an 8-0 vote.
With the meeting coming on the heels of the state track championships, the board discussed keeping the state meet a four-day event after its positive reception this year.
The board also approved increasing NSAA sub-district, district and state championship ticket prices by $1 for adults and students.
