Bryan Hayes is honored at Oklahoma

    Former Imperial resident Bryan Hayes was inducted into the Oklahoma Softball Coaches Hall of Fame on Friday, June 6, 2025 at the Oklahoma Christian University.
    “This is obviously a huge honor for me, but certainly to the credit of the many years of Perry Lady Maroon softball players’ dedication, desire, hard work, and grit. It’s a career award for Perry Lady Maroon Softball,” said Hayes.
    Some of his honors that were read at the induction ceremony are: 664 career wins to 379 losses; 2023 Class 3-A State Champion.
    He has earned: seven Conference Titles; five Time Regional Coach of the Year; two times Middle Classes Coach of the Year; 2023-24 NFHS Oklahoma Softball Coach of the Year; 2023 All-State Coach.
    Bryan’s State Softball Association involvement: OSSAA Region-Representative; Vice President and President of the State Softball Association; State Academic All-State Coordinator; State Regional Development and Alignment Committee; Served on the Hall of Fame Criterion Committee; State By-Law Update Committee; Academic All-State Development Committee; All-State Selector several years.
    As was announced, Bryan was selected to the Hall of Fame for his Longevity, loyalty to Perry softball, on field accomplishments, serving as a mentor and has done so much for the profession and association.
    Hayes will begin his 24th year as Head Girls Softball Coach at Perry High School and this year will be coaching the high school boys baseball team as well.
