WP and Imperial FFA win district LDE events

The Wauneta-Palisade and Imperial FFA chapters qualified more entries for the Nebraska State FFA Convention at the Leadership Development Event Feb. 3 at Curtis.
Individually, WP’s Mandy Sandoval took first purple and qualified for state in creed speaking. Imperial FFA’s Kylee Wiest earned a blue ribbon.
Mason Tyerman with Imperial FFA took the top spot and qualified for state in junior public speaking. Brooke Schilke earned a red ribbon and Peyton Buckley, white.
The Imperial FFA parliamentary procedure team of Kade Anderson, Colin O’Neil, Carter Leibbrandt, Maddie Hanes, Morel Jurado and Liz Reeves won first purple and qualified for state.
The state convention will be held virtually April 7-9. Contests will be held virtually March 22 through April 1.
The recent wins put Imperial FFA up to five events—agriscience, Alexis Richmond and Lindsey Mendenhall in natural resources, junior public speaking and parlimentary procedure, for the state convention and four for WP —junior livestock judging, agriscience, natural resources and creed speaking.
