Veteran CCS teacher takes new position at Perkins Co. Schools

Angela Dickey has been teaching at Chase County Schools (CCS) for 24 years.
During her time at CCS, Dickey has taught second grade, seventh and eighth grade English and Title 1, the latter of which she is currently teaching.
She has accepted a Title 1 teaching position at Perkins County Schools this fall.
Dickey holds a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and physical education and a Master’s of education degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Nebraska-Kearney.
She said teaching has always played a significant role in her life.
“I have been passionate in my commitment to three things: maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students to meet their goals and instilling a sense of self-worth among all students,” Dickey said.
She went on to say she has dedicated her career to each of these commitments so that she could possibly make a difference in a student’s life.
CCS and the city of Imperial have been wonderful places to be, she said.
“The experiences Chase County Schools has provided me have been very positive and allowed me to develop my teaching skills. The staff at CCS is amazing,” said Dickey.
CCS staff is supportive and great people to work with, she added. “I will miss them dearly.”
Dickey said she isn’t planning on moving and will remain in Imperial at this time.
She is married to Greg, and they have three grown children—daughter Nichole Spady of Imperial, and sons Adam of Cambridge and Jeffrey of Kearney, plus two grandchildren, Creedence and Truett Spady of Imperial.
