School music celebrates season

Chase County students celebrated the Christmas season with concerts last week. Last Thursday, middle school and high school students performed. The 9th Street Singers show choir added another song. At right, sixth grader Aaron Sinclair belts out his notes on a lit-up trombone, while the full sixth grade band, at bottom, under the direction of Agnes Strand, spread out on the Longhorn gym floor to perform. Also performing last Thursday were Simply Jazz, the junior high choir and the fifth grade. Director Liess said she thought the night went well and thanked everyone for following the guidelines so the concert could be held.
