Deb Hrcka is the new activities director for the Imperial Manor.

New activities director on duty at Manor

Having worked there before, Hrcka is happy to be back at Manor

A new activities director has taken up the reins at the Imperial Manor.
Deb Hrcka brings a variety of experience and enthusiasm to the residents of the manor.
Hrcka mentioned three areas that she would like to focus on to begin with.
“During this time of COVID restrictions, I want to work on opening up more communication between residents and families or friends,” said Hrcka.
This may be by more regularly scheduled Zoom meetings until restrictive requirements are relaxed, she said.
She would like to start an Alzheimer’s support group within the facility that would eventually include the community.
“Of course, everything is subject to COVID restrictions and safety,” said Hrcka.
This goes along with expanding more future community involvement with manor residents, she said.
“I am excited about this new position. I worked here previously as a CNA for nine years—I’m glad to be back,” she added.
Hrcka currently holds community Cancer Support Group sessions and offers classes through Mid-Plains Community College (MPCC) on grief support.
She is also trained as an advanced grief recovery specialist, she said.
Hrcka is well known in the community for her previous position at Chase County Community Hospital (CCCH).
She was employed at CCCH for seven years, six of which she was the assistant executive director of the hospital foundation.
