The annual pumpkin patch at Cox’s Ponds west of Champion had a steady stream of visitors last weekend.

    The possibility of a new hospital for Chase County took another step forward Tuesday  with action by the hospital board.

    While the final route won’t be announced until early in November, Imperial expects to be an overnight stop for the June 2018 Bike Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN).

    Upset was the word of the day for the Chase County volleyball team, as it toppled three higher seeded teams to claim the SPVA Conference championship.

    The one-win Minden Whippets proved to be no match for the Chase County Longhorns who rolled to a 56-13 win in action there Friday night.
