Working hard and giving back

The 2018-19 Building Construction class at Chase County Schools (CCS) started work on a shed for Chad and Carrie Fisher in November. Jeff Gleisberg, CCS industrial arts teacher, said for projects like this, the homeowner will supply the materials and the class does the work, but he does ask for a donation to the program reasonable to the work being done. “I do this for two reasons. One being so I can continue to upgrade/buy new equipment for the guys to use and, two, is so I don’t take complete advantage of the contractors in town,” Gleisberg said. Gleisberg is looking for projects for next year’s construction class. If interested, contact him at the school. This year’s class consisted of all seniors, front from left, Alex Gomez, Cole Wilson, Scott Wheeler, Kadin Vrbas, back from left, Braden Space, Travis Rowley, Cole Wiest, Evan Fisher and Gleisberg.
