Chris Lee has been familiarizing himself with his new office and position at Waypoint Bank as the new branch manager.

Waypoint Bank welcomes new branch manager

On Monday, Chris Lee of Imperial entered the doors of Waypoint Bank as the new branch manager.
Waypoint Bank representatives were pleased to announce that Lee brings with him seven years of experience in the finance industry.
He said his first day kept him very busy.
He doesn’t plan to make any big changes at the moment, he said.
“There’s a good staff in place. It’s a pretty well-oiled ship—no need to change anything,” Lee said. “I came here to help customers with their banking needs.”
He worked most recently as the credit manager at Frenchman Valley Coop in Imperial.
He was in charge of overseeing customers’ accounts, which afforded him a good understanding of the ag-lending side of business, he said.
“I have quite a bit of experience meeting people in the public, and I know what is necessary to keep the lines of communication open,” he added.
When Waypoint Bank officials knew they would be needing to fill the branch manager position, some customers brought his name up as a possible candidate, explained Lee.
“I was actually approached by bank representatives to consider filling the position,” he said.
