Vision of Trees coming Dec. 1-2

One of the biggest happenings in Champion each year is the Vision of Trees holiday event, with the center of activity provided by area residents who decorate Christmas trees in a variety of themes. This year’s event arrives Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2, in the Champion Community Center, where people can enjoy food, socialize, have a chance to win prizes, take in local entertainment and, of course, view the many decorated trees. Two the raffle items, above, that people will have the opportunity to take chances on next weekend are the outdoor furniture made by Lloyd Hazard and a quilt made and quilted by Rhonda Smith and Jean Farrer. Three other raffle prizes will be offered, as well as a host of silent auction items. Crafts and food items will also be available for purchase, and luncheons will be served both days.
