Students donate school supplies to youths in need

At the start of the summer, school-aged students at Little Sunshine Preschool & Daycare developed a business plan to raise money for people in need.
“If you walked into the room, your eyes would light up by the intelligence and manners of these young entrepreneurs,” Little Sunshine teacher Jacci Paisley said.
The students originally wanted to hold a carnival.
Questions came up that asked: “How will we have money to hold this carnival?” “What games will we have?” “Who will make the games?” “Where will the money go?”
After it seemed the carnival would be too much work, one suggestion came up to have a car wash.
The students realized that money would come in for the car wash.
“They were like, we want to help people,” Paisley added. “It was so cool to listen to them collaborate.”
The students decided all funds will go to purchase school supplies for children in need.
“The group realized how important education is and wanted every child to have materials to help build their dreams to be a successful student,” Paisley said.
During the first car wash, the students realized people were just sitting and waiting for the car, so another idea came up to have a lemonade stand, as well.
