Plans for Cattlemen’s Ball kick into high gear

Nebraska Cattlemen’s Ball committee members gathered in person, over the phone and by video conference Sunday at the Wauneta Senior Center to continue planning for the June 7-8 ball.
Hosts Derek and Allison Sandman and Wayne and Chris Krausnick displayed an initial layout for the site on the Krausnick’s land downstream from Enders Reservoir on the south side of Highway 6.
Layout for the event centers around the location of the main tent. Wayne Krausnick said the tent, one of 24 planned, will be at the west end of the site. He added that a road will be built to allow easier access for caterers, entertainers and the trucks needed to haul everything in. A second road may be constructed allowing for access from the west.
Among the other tents will be a general store, wine and art tent, silent auction tent, history tent and separate bar and saloon tents.
