Pheasants Forever to host Youth Mentor Hunt alumni event

    The Southwestern Nebraska Pheasants Forever (PF) Chapter will host a brand-new chapter event, the Late Season Alumni Hunt and Supper, on Saturday Jan. 26 .
    This event is the idea of several PF chapter members who wanted to know if the youths they mentored at past years’ events were still active hunters.
    The hunt will start at 9 a.m.  at the New Expo Building at the Chase County Fairgrounds in Imperial.
    Volunteers of past hunts are encouraged to join, including dog handlers, mentors, short order cooks, photographers, helpers or parents of a youth that has participated,
    A free-will donation soup supper with a social hour will begin at 5 p.m.
    “Sharing our hunting heritage can be an incredibly rewarding experience for the mentor and the youth,” chapter youth chairperson Heather Francis said.
