NRCS habitat tour adds new events to lineup

The Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Imperial will again be hosting a habitat tour this summer.
The tour will take place next Thursday, June 27, from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
A new event for this year is “wild game appetizers, as well as a wild game cooking demonstration,” said organizer Heather Francis, a Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist in the Imperial NRCS office.
Sue Knobbe of Imperial will also be doing a make-and-take project at the event for $15.
To be sure Knobbe has enough supplies, participants are encouraged to register by this Friday to Francis.
The event will start at the Imperial NRCS conference room at 706 East 5th Street.
The event will conclude at the Southwestern Nebraska Pheasants Forever Youth Memorial Park, west of Champion, where a light supper will be provided.
To RSVP, contact Francis at 308-882-4263 ext. 3 or 308-520-0139 or Ashley Nelson at 308-850-8395
