New real estate open business in town

    Hayden Outdoors Real Estate has opened an office at 681 E. 3rd Street in Imperial.
    Clay and Melisa Owens of Imperial are co-managers, and licensed real estate salespersons for the new office.
    Clay is licensed in Nebraska, and Melisa is licensed in Nebraska and Colorado.
    The couple moved to Imperial four years ago.
    Melisa brings with her nine years of real estate experience to the Chase County area. She previously sold real estate in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
    Clay has been offering his services as a hunting guide while living here and still plans to continue that service from time to time. He is also a big game hunting consultant and coordinates hunting trips worldwide.
    Clay received his real estate license within the last year and said, “It is a natural fit to now discuss owning hunting properties with clients as opposed to them only hunting or leasing properties.”
    “Our office here is a full-service real estate office. We will be handling residential properties, farm and ranch, hunting and recreational properties, as well as water and mineral rights transactions and land auctions,” said Clay.
    Leo Hayden of Windsor, Colorado is owner and founder of Hayden Outdoors Real Estate, Clay explained.
    He said the company began in 1976 in Goodland, Kansas and is in partnership with LandLeader, the nation’s leading marketing service for farm, ranch and recreational real estate.
    “Leo has two sons, Dax and Seth, who are in business with their dad, and I met Dax three years ago. That meeting led to my becoming involved with a leasing program where I worked with landowners facilitating leases with hunters in Nebraska,” said Clay.
    Hayden Outdoors Real Estate decided to open an office here when the opportunity presented itself, he said. The Owenses were put in place to be salespersons and manage the office, providing a high customer service-oriented business working for buyers and sellers in this area.
