Manor featured in health care network’s promotion

    A quote about the Imperial Manor and its administration’s and staff’s efforts to “celebrate life” has been included in promotional efforts of the Great Plains Quality Innovation Network.
    The quote from Margie Haider, RN, Director of Nursing at the Manor, currently appears on the network’s Facebook page.    
    Haider said the Manor is a member of the network, which is free. Its mission is enhancing excellence in care, in part, by sharing ways different facilities operate by putting their best practices forward.
    The Imperial Manor is currently the only facility in Nebraska to be included on their page, Haider noted.
    “It’s a real honor to be selected,” she said.
    Here is the statement Haider submitted, which now appears on the network’s Facebook page:
    “Celebrating life at Imperial Manor boils down to one statement: ‘Simple things in life matter most.’
    “It is celebrating along with a resident who celebrates the survival of his war injury each year. It’s seeing a resident with dementia painting beautiful pictures in his room while his wife and dogs watch. It’s residents entering items in the county fair and proudly displaying the ribbons they won.
    “All of these things and many more make each day a Celebration of Life at Imperial Manor, a life that I am proud to share with every resident, family member, colleague and friend.”
