Imperial Chamber asking for awards program nominations

The Imperial Chamber of Commerce will be holding a Business Retention and Expansion Awards Program.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 31.

The nine awards to be presented include:
Young Professional (35 years or younger)—Recognizes a professional under the age of 35 who exhibits exemplary professional accomplishments and a commitment to their profession as well as our community. Candidates must portray specific professional examples of leadership and possess important personal traits such as integrity, professionalism, creativity and leadership.
Business Professional (35 years or older)—Recognizes a professional over the age of 35 who exhibits exemplary professional accomplishments and a commitment to their profession as well as our community. Candidates must portray specific professional examples of leadership and possess important personal traits such as integrity, professionalism, creativity and leadership.
Rising Star Award—Recognizing a Chamber business who has been in operation for less than five years and provides a new service or product to the area.
Business of the Year (Small- 1-5 employees)—Recognizes a Chamber business that has expanded their facilities or had major equipment upgrades in the last year.
Business of the Year (Large- 6 or more employees)—Recognizes a Chamber business that has expanded their facilities or had major equipment upgrades in the last year.
Outstanding Customer Service Award—Recognizes a Chamber business that excels in the area of customer service. These businesses not only provide their customers with high quality customer service, but take pride in sharing information with visitors about local points of interest as well as events going on in the community. To be considered for this award, business should be also considered a good corporate neighbor.
Good Neighbor Award—A Chamber person(s) who has made an overwhelming contribution of their time and talents to our community, encompassing multiple organizations that they belong to. The volunteerism efforts of these individuals should encompass multiple organizations.
Tried and True Award—Recognizes an established Chamber business that has been a strong supporter of Imperial for many years. This business has given back to the community either monetarily or through volunteering their time and employees.
Helping Hand Award—A non-Chamber person(s) who has made an overwhelming contribution of their time and talents to our community.
Nominations must include reason to be included or they will not be counted, Lee said.
