Hill’s Family Foods starting to look like a building

Construction for the upgrades at Hill’s Family Foods continues, with roof work underway this week.
“It’s starting to look like a building,” owner Dirk Hill said.
“The original building is all staying,” Hill added, with the exception of one portion of the back room that will be demolished.
“The foyer entryway will kind of help with utilities, comfort level in the store and stuff like that,” he added.
Eventually, a new sign will be added to the outside.
“I’m working on that part,” Hill said
Doors for the new outside have been ordered and will possibly be ready for installation in the next week or so.
Hill is unsure of a completion date for the entire project.
“It depends on when the windows for the north end come in,” he said.
“I’m hoping by the end of the month we’ll be closed in,” he added. “There may be a few little things here, but for the most part that’s what we’re waiting on.”
