Great Plains Communications named July Business of Month

■ Editor’s note: The Imperial Chamber of Commerce selects a Business of the Month, which will be identified that month with a banner. Selection is made at the monthly Chamber meetings, and this newspaper is featuring a story on that business each month.

Great Plains Communications (GPC) is a communications business based out of Blair.
The Imperial location of GPC opened in 1940 at 817 Broadway Street.
GPC has over a century of experience serving over 90 communities across Nebraska with residential and business services including high-speed Internet up to one gig, Ethernet, voice and video.
All services are powered by an 11,500+ mile fiber network that reaches 11 states.
GPC employs several local technicians who live and work in the Imperial area, including Daryl Sharp, Greg Dickey, Ray Wright, Johnny Miller, Aaron Greene and Kevin Poppe.
“The Imperial technicians are dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience and take pride in their work,” said Laura Kocher, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for GPC.
“They also take pride in their community and are involved in local events, organizations and donate an impressive amount of volunteer hours to help sustain and advance the city of Imperial and surrounding areas,” she added.
