The Frenchman Valley Farmers Cooperative, Inc. (FVC) Board of Directors announced the appointment of John Bender as Interim CEO effective immediately.
The announcement came in a prepared news release  distributed last Thursday.
Bender has been in the ag industry for 35 years and brings a great deal of experience with him as he takes on the FVC Interim CEO position, the release stated.
An Ohio native, Bender began his career there. He has held multiple positions in the cooperative system including 16 years as a general manager in Kansas, Indiana, Iowa and Illinois.
He now calls Springfield, Ill., home. His wife and son have remained in Springfield, he said, since his son is attending school there.
“I look forward to working with FVC and the communities it serves to continue to strengthen its commitment to remain the area’s premier service provider,” said Bender.
The existing management team will remain in their roles while the FVC Board of Directors continue their search and interview process for a permanent CEO.
FVC has over 20 locations  in southwest Nebraska, northwest Kansas, the Nebraska Panhandle, northeast Colorado and Wyoming and provides services in agronomy, energy, feed, grain, member services and grain procurement.
