FFA chapter planning Farmer Appreciation Dinner

The Imperial FFA chapter has always tried to spotlight farmers and people in agri-business, striving to show appreciation for the work they do, said FFA Advisor Jason Speck.
The FFA chapter members are sponsoring a Farmer Appreciation Dinner Friday, Jan. 31, at the Chase County Schools (CCS) cafeteria.
The event will begin at 6 p.m.
There will be a speech focusing on what Ag people do  in the community and a free meal.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $50 a ticket.
The six businesses donating raffle items are 5 Star Metal, AACE Wash Systems, Bomgaars, Pioneer Seed, RobSeeCo and Mycogen, said Speck.
Anyone wanting to purchase raffle tickets ahead of time may do so, and they do not have to be present to win, he said.
“Anyone associated with agriculture is invited to attend the dinner, but they must RSVP no later than Jan. 28 by calling or texting 308-882-6037,” said Speck.
The event will conclude around 8:30 p.m.
