Farmer Appreciation Dinner on schedule for Friday evening

The Imperial FFA chapter members are sponsoring a Farmer Appreciation Dinner Friday at the Chase County Schools (CCS) cafeteria beginning at 6 p.m.
“The dinner is for anyone associated with agriculture who would like to attend,” said FFA Advisor Jason Speck.
RSVPs were requested ahead of time in order to have a head count, he said.
Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $50 a ticket.
Anyone wanting to purchase raffle tickets ahead of time may do so, and they do not have to be present to win, Speck said.
The six businesses donating raffle items are 5 Star Metal, AACE Wash Systems, Bomgaars, Pioneer Seed, RobSeeCo, Hayden Outdoors and Mycogen.
“Morayah Cupp is responsible for putting this entire event together,” Speck said.
Cupp is a junior at CCS, and this is her third year as an active FFA member.
The money raised from the raffle tickets will go into the Pink-Out fund, he said, which supports cancer patients in this area.
