Farm Credit Services of America moves to new site
Staff at Farm Credit Services of America have been anxious for the day they could move into the new, spacious facility at 686 E. 3rd Street, said Johna Jablonski, Vice President of Retail Operations (VPRO) for the Nebraska western region.
“We are very excited to finally get into the new building where we all can fit,” said Jablonski.
The in-house staff of 10 were previously in a building with 2,652 square feet, three offices and one conference room. The move started late last week.
“The staff had to share the offices, which wasn’t ideal for customer interaction,” she said.
The new facility is 6,656 square feet with seven offices, three “Zoom” or media rooms for webinars and meetings with off-site customers and other offices, plus one small and one large conference room.
This is only part of the space the new building offers staff to accommodate customers.
“We simply outgrew our old location. In order to better serve the community and for the betterment to our customers, this new facility is much more customer friendly,” said Jablonski.
Craig Kuckelburg was superintendent for the general contractor, Kyburz-Carlson Construction of Aberdeen, South Dakota.
They broke ground the end of July 2018, started construction August 2018 and finished in August of this year, Jablonski said.
“Everything went very smoothly with no delays, even with the wet spring we had,” she said.
An open house is being planned soon, but the date has not been set.
