Farm Credit Services of America to build new office in Imperial

Farm Credit Services of America (FCSAmerica) will begin construction in 2018 on a new office in Imperial.
The building’s location at the corner of Highway 61 and East 3rd Street in the Cornerstone Development reflects FCSAmerica’s commitment to delivering the best possible service to area farmers and ranchers, company officials say.
FCSAmerica has outgrown its longtime office at 513 Court Street in Imperial. The new building will give employees the space and technology needed to serve farmers and ranchers as they have come to expect from their financial cooperative. It also will increase ease of use by customer-owners, beginning with parking for tractor-trailers.
“Our role as stewards of a customer-owned cooperative means that we factor current economic conditions into every major capital investment,” said Mitchell Korf, FCSAmerica’s regional vice president in southwest Nebraska.
“But just as we advise farmers and ranchers to make decisions today that will help them grow in the future, we also build for the future needs of a growing agricultural industry. We are confident about agriculture in southwest Nebraska and are here to support our producers, today and tomorrow,” Korf said.
Construction on the new building is expected to begin in the spring. If construction proceeds as planned, the office will be open to customers by the summer of 2019, Korf said.
