Farm Bureau gains ‘breathing room’ at new Court St. location
Insurance agent Dustin Weiss has been a familiar face at Farm Bureau Financial Services in Imperial for well over a decade.
Farm Bureau had been doing business at their office at 512 Broadway Street since May 1990.
Weiss purchased the former Farm Credit Services of America office building at 513 Court Street and relocated the Farm Bureau office officially on March 30, he said.
Changes to the new building included the installation of a new roof, internal walls removed and an additional office added to the floor plan, he said.
“All remodeling is complete except for receiving one door knob for my office. But that’s okay because we don’t touch door knobs anyway,” Weiss said.
Since being in the new office building, the newer phone technology that was already in place has been much more compatible with their phone systems, he said.
The newer system has made it much handier for the Zoom CRC (Cloud Room Connector) meetings between the two other offices in Grant and Ogallala, as well as with the customer base, he added.
“Accessibility is a huge factor at our new location,” said Weiss.
There is more parking space available for customer convenience, two conference rooms where multiple meetings can be going on simultaneously plus space for future growth, he said.
The first couple of weeks in the new location, there was hardly any customer traffic, Weiss said.
“Last week the traffic picked up considerably,” he added.
