Eclectic mix will be available in Cattlemen’s Ball arts tent

The Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska might be largely about the state’s beef industry, but there’s room for some of the finer things, too.
Some of that room will be dedicated to art.
Kati Ladenburger, co-chair of the committee that put together the ball’s Arts Tent, said it will include a variety of works by state and area artists, available for both viewing and purchase.
“We pretty much have the whole gamut of art,” from paintings and pastels to leather work, jewelry, bronze sculptures and pottery. Twenty-one artists will have works on display.
Five of the artists will be from this area, including Armando Villarreal, who does custom painting on motorcycles and motorcycle helmets as well as a host of sports-related works; painters Marcia Bauerle and Sara Stratesky; Kody Bedore, who does custom leather work; and photographer Penny Zadina. Except for Bedore, of McCook, all of them work out of Imperial.
