CRP sign-up meetings hosted by area groups

Imperial MPCC campus hosting one of meetings next week

Pheasants Forever, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, the Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Farm Service Agency will be hosting landowner meetings around the state, and two of them are in this area.
This general CRP sign-up and Continuous CRP sign-up began in December and will continue through Feb. 28.
Two of the meetings will be held in Imperial and Grant next week.
    Here’s the schedule:
Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Mid-Plains Community College Extended Campus, 1324 Broadway, in Imperial from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
Wednesday, Jan. 22, at Midwest Electric, 104 Washington Ave in Grant, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Use the north entrance.
Information will show landowners the many options of CRP and discuss the updated rental rates. Whether landowners are interested in stopping erosion, increasing habitat for wildlife or learning about financial assistance for conservation efforts, they are encouraged to talk to any local Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist or attend one of these meetings.
Those unable to attend one of these meetings and would like more information about the CRP sign-up, contact the Farm Service Agency (FSA) at your local USDA Service Center, or your local Farm Bill Biologist.
There is no charge for participating, but it is requested that participants pre-register by visiting www.NebraskaPF.com or calling 308-850-8395 to register.
