Chamber’s ‘Kickoff to Christmas’ draws over 100

Chamber President Clint Johnson wanted to return to a former Christmas tradition in Imperial that he believes was one residents enjoyed.
So he and a committee of Chamber members organized a community soup and pie supper and other events for Saturday night, which he termed a real success.
Serving over 100 at a free soup and pie supper at the city gym was a “good turnout,” he said, especially with so many other events scheduled.
“Considering there was a big wedding in town, Husker volleyball and Broncos football on TV, I think the turnout was very good,” he said.
