Students at Chase County School are taking care of their bank business. Standing from front are Allyssa Davis, Briella Exum, Darmara Cardona and Grayson Owens. They are being helped by high school “bank tellers” Kadin Vrbas, Evan Fisher and Jim Sims. Lisa Denny of Adams Bank & Trust observes the tellers to make sure they are doing everything correctly. CCS bank seeking more depositors

Chase County Schools’ student savings project opened with a “school bank” Feb. 14 in conjunction with Adams Bank & Trust.
The school bank was started to teach students how to save early in their life and hopefully form a habit that will last a lifetime, said Sandy O’Neil, FBLA advisor, whose student organization is working with the program.
Students can open a savings account and Adams Bank & Trust will match their first deposit up to $5.
The bank is open for business at the school Wednesday mornings from 7:45 to 8 a.m.
