Parts City Auto Parts has gone back to the familiar store name of Carquest Auto Parts at 604 Broadway.

Carquest Auto Parts back at its Broadway location

Carquest Auto Parts had been a familiar business name in Imperial for several decades until April 2018, when it became Parts City Auto Parts.
As of Tuesday, the store has officially gone back to Carquest Auto Parts.
Dan Briggs has been the owner all three decades of its business, and his priorities have always been to serve the community with good customer service and a great inventory.
“Customers have treated me pretty good. I can tell you everyone’s name that walks in my store,” Briggs said.
There will be a few changes in product lines and a much better availability of parts from their warehouses, said Melissa McBride, store manager.
Along with Briggs and McBride, Nicki Briggs and Kerry Denker will be providing the same great services they always have, McBride said.
In addition to selling auto parts, they will also do battery recycling, battery testing, make custom hydraulic hoses and perform limited alternator testing and wiper blade installation.
Tedd Warner from Brighton, Colorado is the account executive for Carquest and has been on hand for the switch over.
“Carquest is an independent entity of Advanced Auto Parts. It’s all about great people and good product availability,” Warner said.
“The Carquest people here are a good group and ready to continue helping their customers,” he added.
Carquest has a better parts program than what was previously available, Warner said.
“We’ve had a good response from customers on returning to Carquest,” McBride said.
Store hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The store phone number is 308-882-4273.
