AgriForce Seed, Redwood group partner up to offer marketing options for peas, legumes

Venango-based AgriForce Seed, LLC and The Redwood Group, LLC have created a strategic partnership that will offer marketing options to Nebraska growers of peas and other legume crops. These crops are referred to as pulse crops.
Jeff Olsen of Imperial, CEO and president of AgriForce Seed, LLC, said the new relationship with Redwood will provide producers with additional pricing options during the non-peak growing season.
“Combining the expertise of AgriForce and Redwood will give producers confidence to grow pulse crops,” Olsen said.
Growers Steve Tucker of Venango and Olsen have been leading the way in certified pea seed production in Southwest Nebraska. Tucker also serves as the general manager of AgriForce Seed.
“Western Nebraska producers now have a certified seed dealer to source their needs with a purchase program that will reduce the risk of fluctuating prices,” Tucker said.
“We are exited to offer producers new marketing options to supplement the quality of service we currently provide,” Tucker added.
Mike Kincaid, president of The Redwood Group, LLC based in Kansas City, Kansas, said his company looks forward to working together with AgriForce Seed.
“They are a proven business with strong roots in the local community, he said.
“This partnership further expands Redwood’s integration into the pulse industry at the local level,” Kincaid said.
