After nine months at helm, John Bender named CEO of Frenchman Valley Coop

    The board of directors at Frenchman Valley Farmers Cooperative, Inc. (FVC) announced Feb. 7 the promotion of John Bender to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FVC.
    Bender has served as the interim CEO since April 18, 2017. He has been in the ag industry for 35 years and brings a great deal of experience with him as he takes on the FVC CEO position.
    Bender, an Ohio native, began his career there. He has held multiple positions in the cooperative system including stints as general manager in Kansas, Indiana, Iowa and Illinois.
    Bender said, “Being here the past nine months has shown us the potential of the company to succeed. Many of the processes we started will continue to accelerate as we complete our first phase of change and improvement.”
    The FVC board of directors is excited about the new direction under Bender’s leadership and the new and innovative plans for the future.
    Founded in 1912, FVC has 21 locations serving patrons in southwest Nebraska, northwest Kansas, the Nebraska Panhandle, northeast Colorado and Wyoming. FVC provides services in agronomy, energy, feed, grain, member services and grain procurement.
