We still love our Cornhuskers, don’t we?

Online comments about the game have been brutal for the coach.

Wow, what a disappointing start to the always-anticipated Husker football season! This year had a little different twist with Nebraska’s opener against Northwestern played in Ireland. However, the luck went to Northwestern as the Huskers lost a 31-28 contest that could’ve gone Nebraska’s way.
If you read any of the online comments, fans aren’t happy with Coach Frost’s decision on the onside kick in the third quarter while his team had the lead and the momentum. He’s taken full credit for the call, saying if he had it to do over again, he wouldn’t have called that play. Yep, hindsight is 20-20.
Now with a 15-30 record as he starts his fifth year as head coach, Frost’s future also appears to be what a lot of people want to talk about in addition to game details. He was even asked if he’d consider resigning at the after-game press conference last week.
The online comments have been brutal. Sportswriter Joe Grobeck wrote: “At this point, I’m convinced Frost has a side career as an author and has been secretly writing ‘1,000 Ways to Lose a Football Game.’” Ouch.
However, if you’re like me, you still love the Huskers as you always have and will continue to support them this 2022 season (and hopefully into 2023). I even remember when Coach Tom Osborne wasn’t always winning championships.
