Alan Carman | The Imperial Republican Baskets were overflowing at the playground. There were only six youngsters at the west playground area and with this being the youngest group of egg hunters, many lost interest long before all the eggs had been found. Towards the end of the hunt, the kids inside the ballpark fence were invited over to help finish finding the rest of the eggs in the playground.

Frigid temps for easter egg hunt

Despite the temperature hovering right around the freezing mark, the city easter egg hunt was held on Saturday, March 23. The numbers were down this year due to the extreme cold, but for the youth who braved the cold, there were eggs aplenty.
