Imperial girls sweep fourth thru sixth grade b-ball tournament at home

    Saturday in Imperial, 16 teams competed in a fourth thru sixth grade basketball tournament held in all three gymnasiums at CCS.
    There were teams from Perkins County, Hitchcock County, Dundy County, McCook, Wauneta-Palisade, Smith Center Kansas and Imperial.
    Imperial fourth grade girls, coached by April Lambert, won first place, beating teams from Hitchcock County and Dundy County.
    In the fifth and sixth grade girls division, the team coached by Derek Russell took the championship over five contenders.
    McCook red won the title in the fourth grade boys division which included McCook black, Perkins Co. and Chase Co.   
The fifth and sixth grade boys division only had three teams. Wauneta-Palisade came out on top in this division.
