CCS speech students bring home more contest medals

    On Saturday, the Chase County Schools speech team competed in its fourth invite of the season when they traveled to Sutherland High School’s invite.
    Chase County Schools placed fourth overall in the competition. Individual team member placings were:
    Brayan Cazares, 1st place in both Serious and Program Oral Interpretation.
    George Colton, Zach Herbert and Andrew Wiest,  1st in Oral Interpretation of Drama.
    Annika McDaniel, 4th in Entertainment Speaking.
    Paige Nickless, 3rd in Humorous Speaking.
    Katelyn Stamm, 6th place in Persuasive Speaking.
    Chase County’s upcoming speech schedule includes:
    Feb. 11- Blue and Gold Speech Meet at North Platte High School
    Feb. 18 - Ogallala High School invite
    Feb. 22 - SPVA Conference Speech Meet at Chase County Schools
    March 4 - District Speech Meet at Ainsworth
    March 16 - State at Kearney High School
