With the name change, the sign will also be changed in the future..

MorningStar Cafe renamed to Longshots Restaurant

It’s a new year of new beginnings. One of those new beginnings is that the beloved MorningStar Cafe has been rebranded as Longshots Restaurant, along with new additions to the interior. The Republican spoke to owner Dan Long about the nature of these changes.
Though this is a recent change, the plans had been in motion long before now, they were only able to take effect last November. Long stated that the changing of the name was due to the desire to service Imperial beyond  breakfast in the morning. “We want to start serving dinner at night so that we can be serving all throughout the day” said Long. “That’s one of the reason’s we changed the name. Also, many in the community are hunters, so ‘Longshot’ has that connection, as well.
To further capitalize on the communal support, the bar at the front counter is being expanded, with Long extending an invitation for the local owners of livestock to come in and add their brands to the counter. At the time of writing, there were approximately 60 different brands burned into the wood. “I was expecting only a few to turn out” he said. “So seeing all of these people come was inspiring. Now, we’re considering decorating our tables in the same way.”
Let’s hope that the plate-sized pancakes remain the same.
