Pat was born on Sept. 6, 1940, in Chadron, Nebraska to Edward and Zelma Waltman. She passed away on Oct. 25, 2023, in Wauneta.
Pat was very close to her sisters Claudette and Edwina (Winnie). They did everything together. They enjoyed riding horses at their grandparent’s house, playing with their dolls and the pets that were there. Pat had a great love for any and every animal which included rabbits, pigeons, dogs, cats, and an iguana. She would nurse them back to health if needed and love them unconditionally as they did her.
Pat married G. B. (Jiggs) Crapson on June 7, 1958, in Chadron. They started their family in Chadron then moved to Grant and then Wauneta where they made their permanent home.
She loved her children very much. Pat enjoyed playing with her pets, dancing, working out in the yard and being with her family.
She worked as a waitress, babysat and ironed. She cleaned the movie theater. She worked in housekeeping at the nursing home and  had a lot of other side jobs. She stayed busy all the time. Pat’s faithful companion Buddy was very watchful of her. He would bark very loudly if someone came to the door and if she was on the phone. He of course thought he should have all of her attention. He loved begging for his treats. Every day at certain times of the day he would stand up on his hind end and do his wiggle with his front paws and bark until she would give him his treat. Pat loved teddy bears. She had a big room dedicated to her teddy bears. If you were going somewhere, you could bring back a unique bear for her collection. She also loved  Irish themed items. Pat liked to travel and was fortunate to be able to take a trip to Israel, where she was baptized in the Jordan river.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Zelma; husband Jiggs; three daughters, baby Ginger Beth, Connie Sue (Hamilton) and DeNise Renae (Hoover); sister and brother-in law, Edwina (Winnie) and Wayne Leischer; brothers-in-law Arnold Gust, Roy Crapson, Frank Crapson, Tom Crapson, Bill Crapson and Jim Crapson; and sister-in law Jane Molter.
