Marlene M. Greenlee, age 88 of York, Nebraska died on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023 in York. She was born at the home north of Thayer, Nebraska on March 13, 1935 to Herbert R. and Katherine (Zweibel) Junge.
Marlene graduated from Benedict Hugh School in 1952 and worked in York until her marriage to Roy Kaiser of Bradshaw on March 13, 1955. They became parents of four sons Max, Alan, Boyd and Gary.
They resided in the Bradshaw area until November of 1966 when they moved out west to Chase County to make their home on a farm. Roy died in 1970. Marlene remained on the farm near Imperial and raised her children and managed the farm until 1981. She then moved into Imperial and lived there until 1988.
She married Marvin Greenlee and they moved to McCook. In 2006, she moved to York to retire after Marvin’s death.
Marlene was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York. She enjoyed flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her sons Max (Joni) Kaiser of Elkhorn, Alan (Tami) Kaiser of Lincoln, Boyd (Deborah) Kaiser of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Gary (Stacy) Kaiser of Sargeant Bluff, Iowa; stepdaughter Paris (Rick) Province of McCook; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and her sister Merna Lou Niermann of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Roy and Marvin; brother-in-law Henry; and granddaughter Hannah Kaiser.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 2, 2023 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in York with the Reverend Ben Kaiser officiating. Marlene has been cremated. No viewing or visitation. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Imperial.
