Jesse Wayne Krausnick was born June 14, 2003, at Grant, Nebraska, to Wayne and Christina (Schilke) Krausnick of Imperial. Jesse was the joy of so many lives, his smile was contagious. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed it.
Jesse was heavily involved in 4-H, as well as FFA, taking many top honors in every event including horse, sheep, cattle, pig, dog, archery and trap shooting. His motto was “If you can’t be good at it, then why do it”
Jesse was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Imperial and was confirmed member involved in LYF and helped usher or light candles when needed. He loved being a Longhorn at Chase County Schools. He was a part of the football, basketball and track teams for several years. He then discovered “Golf!” Jesse had gone several times with his Grandpa Larry and Uncle Darty Schilke, so he felt compelled to try it and did very well!
Jesse’s love for animals was always there. His horses and dog were always first on his list of things to see when he arrived home from school. A lot of his childhood involved his grandma Diann and Grandpa Larry. He loved to be at their home to play, especially when his cousins would come over.
As he got older, Jesse loved to be in the hayfield, mainly swathing on the river with his dad and brother. He could operate the machinery and could fix any problem that may arise.  One of his many accomplishments was receiving his CDL license. He enjoyed helping with harvest at Mid-County Farms and Uncle Jeff.
After graduating from Chase County High School in May of 2022, he was enrolled in the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He enjoyed his time there studying Ag Business in hopes of becoming a real estate agent.
He took great joy in watching his little brother excel at whatever he was involved in and requested photos and videos of all activities this past year.
Jesse was taken from this life way too soon, but his memory and smile will live on forever.
Jesse passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2022, in Imperial from a firearm’s discharge. He was 19 years of age.
