Edna Marie Copp

Edna Marie Copp, 87, passed away on Jan. 12, 2024 at Imperial Manor in Imperial, Nebraska.
Edna was born Jan. 29, 1936 to Gary and Florance Anderson in Benkelman. She grew up on the family farm 5 miles east of Benkelman.  She attended school in Benkelman until she graduated.
After high school, Edna went on to obtain her LPN and made nursing her life’s work.
Edna lived an adventurous life.  She attended Woodstock in 1969, where she claimed to have burnt her bra. Those who knew her best, knew she had another one in her backpack.  She enjoyed fishing for shark on the Gulf of Mexico, drinking wine with friends and entertaining guests was a specialty. She had an infectious personality and genuinely enjoyed dining with others and simply being with friends.
In 2003 Edna moved to Imperial and found work at the community center as an administrative assistant.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
Edna is survived by four children; a host of grandchildren; and some very special friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Imperial Manor with Scott Adle officiating.
