Two-vehicle accident stalls traffic at busy intersection

    Traffic was interrupted for awhile Tuesday morning at one of Imperial’s busiest intersections.
    The two-vehicle accident involved a pair of SUVs that collided at the 5th and Broadway intersection mid-morning Tuesday.
    Imperial Police Chief Ryan Wisnieski said law enforcement and emergency responders received the dispatch at 9:22 a.m.
    Annika Swanson of Imperial, whose 21st birthday was Tuesday, was driving south on Broadway in a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse. As she approached the 500 block of Broadway, a 2014 Chevrolet SUV operated by Delores Francis, 76, of Imperial collided with Swanson’s vehicle.
