Jeffrey Martin, a CCS sixth grader, placed first at districts and third at state and will now be competing at the USA Wrestling Nationals in Council Bluffs, Iowa this weekend March 29-30. Placing in the Top 4 at State qualifies wrestlers for the National competition. Martin was also contacted by an AAU wrestling coach to attend their organization’s national competition in Tennessee, April 3-8. He will be on Team Nebraska for both the USA and AAU national meets. Thanks to the Chase County Wrestling Club for helping and supporting these young athletes.

Although the injury bug has bitten several members of the Chase County boys track team, the Longhorns had the vast majority of their athletes competing Friday at the Perkins County Pre-Season meet.

It’s going to be a busy weekend in Imperial with so much going on. What’s great about it is that these events will help all of us support our local community.
