Bonnie B. Potter, 90, of Greeley, Colo., died May 6, 2013 at Bonell Good Samaritan.
She was born July 22, 1922 in Imperial, Neb. to Herman and Elva (Johnston) Dettman.
Bonnie grew up in Imperial and graduated from Chase County High School. After graduating she attended Secretary School in Omaha, Neb. and then worked as an Executive Secretary for a major construction company in Denver, Colo. for many years.
She was enlisted in the Waves in 1945 but peace was declared and she did not enter active service.
Bonnie married Richard M. Jarrett on Dec. 15, 1949 in GenĀ­eva, Neb. They later divorced. She married George Potter in 2003.
Bonnie enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home, spending time with her family and entertaining family and friends.
After her retirement in Denver, Bonnie and her first husband, Dick Jarrett, moved back to Imperial to raise and show mules.
Bonnie is survived by her nieces and nephews, Kevin Spradlin (Marcia), Sue Spradlin Sorenson, Craig Spradlin (Monica); eight great nephews and four great-great nieces and nephews.
